| Lake Kaweah Fishing has been impacted by a decrease in the lake's water level. The river is the best place to catch trout. They are biting on crickets. Night fishing with chicken liver and anchovies is best for catfish. Bass are scattered throughout the lake at 35 to 40-foot depths. They can be caught by drop shotting jigs. Few crappie are biting on minnows. |

| The 57th Annual Kids Fishing Rodeo will be held Friday, July 30 at Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier. The Rodeo, a 2010 Long Beach Sea Festival event, is open to kids 16 and under. Kids 12 and under must be supervised by an adult, and each participant must bring their own rod and reel. |
